Overview

Direct-to-consumer sales, also known as direct-to-consumer eCommerce, is a sales strategy where a business sells directly to customers. That’s opposed to what B2B businesses usually do: sell to vendors, retailers, and resellers.

STM digitalizes the whole production process to help you reduce your lead time like never before.

The problem/motivation/opportunity

What are the needs that drive the business owner to develop this product?

Creating a realistic and immersive 3D experience: This is a technical challenge that requires expertise in 3D modeling, rendering, and animation. The goal is to create a website that allows customers to interact with products in a way that is as close to real life as possible.

 

Managing inventory: When selling products directly to customers, it is important to have a good system for managing inventory. This includes tracking stock levels, ensuring that products are shipped on time, and handling returns.

 

Providing excellent customer service: D2C businesses typically have a closer relationship with their customers than traditional retailers. This means that it is important to provide excellent customer service to ensure that customers have a positive experience.

From this study, we could further segment our main user into four groups: The Convenience Seeker, The Quality Connoisseur, The Trend-Setter and The Value-Seeker. We also broke down the users by their attributes, pain points, motivations, goals and responsibilities.

Homepage: The homepage should also include a call to action, such as a button that encourages customers to browse your products or sign up for your email list.

 

Product pages: Each product page should have a high-quality 3D model of the product. Customers should be able to rotate the model, zoom in and out, and view it from different angles. The product page should also include information about the product, such as its price, size, and color options.

 

Shopping cart: The shopping cart should be easy to use and understand. Customers should be able to add products to their cart, remove products from their cart, and update the quantity of products in their cart.

 

Checkout: The checkout process should be simple and secure. Customers should be able to enter their shipping and billing information, choose a payment method, and place their order.
